About the Good Ship Zael'kiira

This is a personal website for archiving useful information about things we like. It is inspired by the Web Revival and various other archival projects across the Internet. While it is heavily weighted toward our interests, we hope it will be useful to others, too.

The name comes from D&D Elven, combining zael ("spirit") with kiira ("gem" or a magical data storage device). This felt fitting for an archive mostly composed of New Age and tabletop RPG resources. Consider it the name of our ship as we sail the 'net's starry sea: a digital lore-gem storing the knowledge of webmasters past, pages lost to the Void of an ever-changing online landscape

About the Archives

Websites vanish off the Internet all the time. Archive.org is a marvelous resource but hard to navigate, and not every site is backed up.

Our archival efforts have a few rules:

  1. Cite as much as possible; provide links if pages are still online.
  2. When quoting and archiving materials, follow fair use guidelines.
  3. Clearly mark commentary to give context and add nuance.
  4. Never hotlink: keep sites alive and images future-proof.

We do not necessarily agree with everything we archive, but to lose it to the Void would be a tragedy.

Not everything is an archive: Some of this is our own original work or summarized information from pages we were unable to or decided were better off not to archive unaltered. Please check the top of each page for sources and how the content can be used.

As for the New Age focus: Searching for anything connected to new religious movements these days returns a bloody sea of racist conspiracy theories and AI-generated spam. This site aims to push back against bigotry and the dehumanization of spiritual seeking.
